Blister Packaging

Ropack provides a number of blistering services and can produce blister packs in several different forms, including regular thermo-form blister, cold-formed, and heat-sealed blister cards.

Regular Blisters (using PVC, PVC/PVDC, PVC/PE/PVDC, Aclar Rx, Aclar VA7300, or as per your specifications)

Cold-Formed (using aluminum/aluminum)

Senior-friendly, child-resistant blister perforated horizontally and/or vertically and/or in unit dose blister with bar code printing on each cavity. Imprinting on back of blister (random print, unit dose print with register printing)
  • Heat-sealed blister cards
  • Folding cards (wallet card)

Pouch Filling

Ropack offers a number of pouch filling services for powder, solid, liquid, and other dosage types. Pouch filling under nitrogen and pouch filling in a controlled-humidity environment are also available.

  • Powder pouching for unit dose pouches for a quantity of approximately 0.5 g to 150 g depending on the density of the product
  • Liquid or cream filling for a quantity of approximately 1 mL to 70 mL, depending on the density of your product
  • Pouch filling of capsules, tablets, or gelatin caps; 4 to 5 different types of products can be put in a single pouch


Sachet/pouch dimensions and fill weight:
  • Sachet Width 50.8 mm up to 120 mm
  • Sachet Height: 50.8 mm up to 241 mm

Bottling

Ropack produces exact filling of HDPE or PET bottles. Bottles are sealed with induction seals, permaseals, and child-resistant or senior-friendly caps.
  • Solid dose products can take the form of tablets, capsules, caplets, soft gels/liquid gels or gel caps
  • A validated system for exact filling of each bottle with capsules, tablets, soft gels or powders


Key Safety and Packaging Features:
  • Safety seal with complete body band on each bottle
  • Desiccant (moisture and/or odour absorbent)
  • Rayon coil or cotton
  • Application of an outsert over the cap of the bottle
  • Placement of an insert between the bottle and the body band
  • Labelling of the bottle using a label-view system to verify the application of the lot number and expiration date on each bottle
  • Cartoning of bottles
  • Shrink wrapping of bottles or bundle wrapping

Secondary Packaging

Once material is packaged, secondary packaging is a crucial part of the preparation process. Ropack doesn’t leave anything to chance, with secondary packaging services to ensure your products are ready for market when you need them to be.

Warehousing and Distribution

Ropack provides warehousing and distribution services for commercial products and clinical trial materials to various locations in the U.S., Canada and Europe. From secure, stable storage to reliable shipment and delivery services, we can provide invaluable help in managing your products.

  • Reception of finished products; issuing of reception reports
  • Commercial-scale warehousing/products and quarantine/control of released products in a warehouse that features both ambient and cold storage capabilities (2 °C to 8 °C)
  • Min./max. temperatures of the warehouse and refrigeration unit are documented
  • Two vaults for controlled substances (level 9 security) with biometric access
  • Daily, weekly, monthly, or annual inventory reports are available
